Highland Park

On a hill in Port Moody, looking north to the mountains and west to the inlet, sits a residential community of town homes called Highland Park.

It is a condominium consisting of 150 homes, each of three or two bedrooms. Twenty-five residential buildings each have six self-contained dwellings. In the centre of the complex is the recreation building Highland Park Centre, with a swimming pool, patio, meeting room, and office.

Constructed in 1978, the complex has become graced with mature trees and greenery, while new centres of Port Moody's social life have been moving to its area. A two minute walk down the hill brings you to "fastbus" transportation, and to the popular Newport Village complex, the Suter Brook complex now being constructed, and the new Port Moody City Hall with its Library and its Recreation Centre.

As a strata corporation, the community is governed by its owners, who elect a Strata Council, hold meetings, and have implemented a maintenance plan to preserve the longterm liveability of the complex.
